In this course, students will explore contemporary and traditional sculpture approaches using a variety of materials and techniques. Quality craftsmanship, developing original ideas and understanding the historical significance of sculpture will be emphasized. Student swill be expected to creatively solve teacher-directed sculpture problems and maintain a process/product portfolio. Successful completion of this course will allow students to pursue sculpture problems independently at the studio level.
