The Process & Requirements
Use references, but not from your phone. Print them out or use Manders images from the folders.
Create a closed and balanced composition
Finish your drawing with
ink
,
watercolor
,
marker
, or
colored pencil
Don't forget about the "5 C's" when creating aesthetically pleasing artwork:
Composition - how you organize art elements into your drawing to enhance principles of design
Creativity - how original your ideas project through your artwork
Craftspersonship - how clean in your work. How careful where you when creating
Content - how your work communicates to the viewer
Color (or also tone...but it doesn't start with a C...) - how engaging your work will be to the eye
Begin by sketching lightly. Go to the "Daily Sketchbook" link under Drawing C and watch ZHC sketch. Take some cues from him.
